[i]idealia posting in [i]guitargeek: BOSS RC-20XL Loop Station

I have a question about this pedal. My bf is currently letting me borrow his and I noticed that if I put the pedal at the start of my chain (meaning my guitar is plugged directly into it, followed by a Flanger, a Rotary Ensemble, a Chorus and Digital Delay, then Amp), if I try to flip on any of my other pedals (let's say the Rotary), the sound already recorded into the Loop Station will pick up the rotary sound. Should I put the Loop Station at the end of my chain in order to bypass this? Because I'd love to record some clean tracks and then overdub some distortion without having the clean tracks take on the element of distortion.

My other question is this: I really love this pedal and would like to make it a permanent part of my set-up. I know people have special preferences on the order of their pedals and this has been mine so far:

Amp = Digital Delay (DD-6) = CE-5 Chorus = RT-20 Rotary Ensemble = BF-2 Flanger = Fulltone GT-500 (Distortion/Overdrive) = Guitar

I'm also thinking about adding an acoustic simulator eventually; where would I put it in terms of the list so far and where exactly does the Loop Station go? Like I said, I know it comes down to personal preference, but I'm looking for just ideas/opinions on where to go from here.

Thanks guys!

Edited to fix some terms!

[i]mangoliscious posting in [i]violinstudents: Bouncing Bows

Hi everyone,

I'm a complete beginner and am currently working my way through the Abracadabra Strings Book 1. So far I'm getting on pretty well but my main problem is that I can't seem to stop the bow from bouncing when I play. My friend said it's normal and just requires practice and control - is there anything I can do to gain more control of it? Does it have anything to do with the strings being too loose or tight?

Any comments would be appreciated.

Thank you ♥

[i]contentwithit posting in [i]guitargeek: delay -lay -lay -lay

I'm seriously considering getting a delay pedal. I usually start with boss pedals so I'm thinking either the DD-7 Digital Delay, or DD-20 Giga Delay. Any thoughts or other pedals to consider? Thanks guys and dolls

also just wondering what pedals you guys love, what did you start out with?

[i]scantron81 posting in [i]guitargeek: tele mods

I just finished my first tele mods. I was fairly happy with my 60's reissue white telecaster but I'm in love with it after last night. I added brass compensated saddles, pure nickel strings, a 4 way selector switch, and Fender Nocaster '51 pickups. The guitar was ready just in time for our set at a music festival.

Holy cow, these pickups rip with my new 4 way switch! I have my 3 standard pickup options as well as both in parallel so the guitar just rips when I open it up with my mxr micro amp and Deluxe reverb amp. I've never been happier with my set-up.

I recommend you checking out these basic mods if you have a telecaster!
